Privacy policy

AUDEX is a music brand developing Comps, Explore and Underground. This website introduces those projects and offers a free AUDEX news list. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit get-audex.app, join the waitlist or contact us.

Who is responsible for your information?

Jacob Bradley, a sole trader trading as AUDEX and Jacob Bradley Web Development, operates AUDEX and is responsible for deciding how your personal information is used. For privacy questions or requests, email support@get-audex.app.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, email choices, subscription status and records of when you requested and confirmed your subscription. We keep the consent wording and version associated with your choices. Older, separate competition or Explore preferences remain separate unless you choose the broader AUDEX newsletter.

We also process temporary security identifiers derived from your IP address and email address to limit abusive requests. Our hosting and email providers process technical information needed to deliver the website and email, such as connection and delivery logs. If you contact us, we receive your email address, optional name, message and your agreement to receive a reply about that enquiry. Form submissions are delivered to our support mailbox with the submission time and the wording of your permission to reply. We do not add contact-form senders to the AUDEX news list.

Why we use it

Email updates, with your consent. If you tick the AUDEX news checkbox and confirm your email, we can send AUDEX news, including Comps launch announcements and updates about Explore and Underground. The checkbox is unticked by default. You can browse without joining, and joining is free.

Administration and security, for our legitimate interests. We use your information to verify requests, manage email choices, respond to enquiries and protect the service against abuse. These interests are running a reliable waitlist, preventing unwanted subscriptions and keeping personal information secure.

Legal obligations. We may use information where necessary to meet a legal obligation, including responding to valid data-protection requests.

We do not sell your email address, share it with other businesses for their own marketing, or make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Your email choices

You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by requesting a secure preference link. You can also email support@get-audex.app. No account or password is required. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful use of your information.

Joining the waitlist does not create a competition entry or an account for a future competition website. We will not treat newsletter consent as permission for unrelated marketing or automatically widen your older email choices.

Who helps us run AUDEX?

We use specialist providers for website hosting, secure subscription storage and email delivery. These providers process the information necessary to host the website, store subscription and consent records, and deliver requested emails. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where information is processed

Our subscription database and website application functions are hosted in the United Kingdom. Website delivery, provider support and email services can also involve processing in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Our hosting and database providers’ data-processing agreements include contractual safeguards for international transfers, including the UK Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Our email provider also publishes a data-processing agreement with international-transfer provisions. We are seeking confirmation of its current UK transfer arrangements. You can request information about the safeguards relevant to your data by emailing support@get-audex.app.

How long we keep information

Unverified registrations are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. We keep active subscriptions while we continue to provide the updates you requested. We review whether they are still needed at least annually and will close the list if the project is abandoned.

After you unsubscribe, we stop marketing and retain your email address and consent history for up to two years to record your withdrawal and address questions about consent. We do not use those records to restart marketing. Expired verification and preference links, expired sessions and temporary rate-limit records are cleared by daily maintenance. Daily aggregate counts are kept for up to two years.

If you contact us, we keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and any related issue. A legal obligation or dispute may require limited records to be kept longer. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements; deletion from our active database does not immediately remove every backup copy.

Cookies and visit counts

We use essential cookies for secure forms and email preferences. Our cookie information explains their purpose and duration. We count daily page loads and waitlist activity without advertising pixels, analytics cookies or individual browsing histories. These aggregate counts do not identify visitors.

Keeping your information secure

We use encrypted connections, restricted access and expiring links to help protect your information. Please keep preference links private, as someone with a valid link may be able to manage your email choices.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email support@get-audex.app to make a request. We may ask for proportionate information to check your identity.

We normally respond within one month. The law allows extra time for some complex or multiple requests; if that applies, we will explain why. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office without contacting us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve a concern.

Future changes

This notice covers the waitlist, not competition entries, payments or Explore gameplay. We will provide appropriate privacy information before introducing those activities. We will update the date above when this notice changes and tell you about material changes where appropriate.
